SELECTION AND MEMBERSHIP
Selection
Students who meet the following requirements will be invited to fill out a digital candidate questionnaire in August:
-
Are sophomores, juniors, or seniors
-
Have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher
-
Have 1 or no detentions or suspensions within the previous academic school year
-
Consistently behave with integrity and respect
Once a candidate has returned the questionnaire by the deadline stated, their responses will be reviewed by a 5-member Faculty Advisory Board. The FAB uses a rubric to guide their decision. Typically, students who earn around 40/50 points on the rubric are invited to become full members. However, each candidate is thoroughly considered on an individual basis.
To become full members of the RTHS NHS chapter, candidates must participate in a public Induction Ceremony, which will occur on September 21 this year. All candidates that are selected by the Faculty Advisory Board will be notified by e-mail.
